Mambo muRata combo is Mambo +Rock +Jazz band founded in 2016 at Murata-ya sake shop.
The band is led by Hitoshi Higuchi, who have lived in Mexico and Cuba for more than 10 years, now living in Japan, whose cultural experience is essential for its literally hybrid( or they say "mixture" or "fusion" ) musicality.
"muRata" is like misspelled of Mulata that means a girl of mixed white and black ancestry, the symbolic image of latin-american seduction, but is not wrong spelled, intentionaly spelled in a figurative sense that expresses no-authentic, étranger(extraneous) and local dialect( we, Japanese confuse "R" with "L", you know? ) in a good way. And obviously "muRata" is from Murata-ya sake shop, the origin, where we were formed.

Mambo muRata combo（マンボ・ムラータ・コンボ） はマンボ・ロック・ジャズ・バンド、2016年に村田屋酒店で結成された。
リーダー樋口仁志の生活体験や10年以上滞在したメキシコ、キューバでの文化体験が表現の核となり、文字通り雑種（ミクスチャー!?フュージョン!?）の音楽を奏でている。
"muRata"は白人と黒人の混血女性”Mulata”綴り違いのようだが、（ちなみにMulataは情熱の中南米の魅力の象徴でもあります）、良い意味で本物志向ではない、外来の、そして”R”と”L”の聞き分けが苦手な我々の”訛り”を比喩的に表している。
そして、言うまでもなく、"muRata“ は村田屋酒店、我々の源流の名前も意味している。
